Starting a household or a business in the United States often means encountering insurance terms and coverage structures that work differently from those in Japan. Policies are sometimes signed before the coverage is fully understood.
41 North prioritizes understanding the coverage first, in Japanese, over moving quickly to a signature.
Understanding before choosing
Technical terms are presented in both English and Japanese, together with the conditions that matter for a decision. We avoid absolute claims and fear-based framing.
There is no presumption that an existing policy should change. We compare premiums, limits, deductibles, and exclusions on a like-for-like basis, without guaranteeing eligibility, price, or a coverage outcome.
